The Best Ways to Wash Your Driveway

Some seasons really do a number on your lawn and driveway. Leaves, ice, mud, and leaky cars can impact the condition of your driveway over time. Rather than paying a professional company to wash your driveway, consider completing the process on your own. We’ve put together a list of the most common products and processes used to clean driveways. Click on the name of the method to see a detailed step by step process. Check it out: Soap & Water – a simple method that you can get the family involved with. Trisodium Phosphate – a heavy duty cleaner that you can purchase at most hardware stores. Add one cup of TSP to every gallon of hot water that you use. Spray your concrete with the TSP solution and then let sit for 15-20 minutes. Then scrub the driveway with a scrub brush. Power Washing – a high pressure wash should remove most dirt and grime from your concrete with just water. Chlorine Bleach – a common household product brightens up more than your dirty laundry! Mix 1 part chlorine bleach with 1 part water and spray your driveway in a back and forth motion. After you let it sit for about 15 minutes, go to town with your scrub brush to scrub away all the stains and dirt.   Hopefully one of these methods will help you restore your driveway to brand new. It may take a few trials of the different solution, but eventually you should begin to see that beautiful, restored concrete shining through the suds. Good luck, and happy washing!
